Design process — one team from sketch to install
Every Forever Pergola is custom designed, reviewed for permits/engineering, then cut to fit. You get a free 3D design so you know exactly what you’re buying no handoffs through five strangers.
What others get wrong
Separate closer designer → project manager → foreman. Each handoff can change design and price. Salesperson often isn’t a builder.
How Forever does it
Your Customer Service Manager is salesman + designer + project lead — first and last contact for the whole job.
Your path in 8 steps
First contact
Call or email — you’re assigned your manager and book a design consultation.
Site inspection & product overview
On-site evaluation of your space, goals, and product questions with your Design/Installation Manager.
Initial layout
Quick 2D sketch on site: overall space, louver direction, post placement, accessories.
Fair pricing — no pressure
Ballpark right then. No phony limited-time discounts. Decide when you’re ready. Small 10% deposit (or min $3,000) locks schedule and starts full 3D.
Full 3D design
Model of your home/landscaping + pergola. Tweak colors, size, posts, screens, heaters, lights, fans until you approve.
Permits & engineering
Avg. 3-6 weeks. We handle the legwork with your township inspector / engineer. Permit fees ($75-$1,750+) at cost no markup.
Material deposit & build
After approvals: additional ~60%+ for materials/footers. We pull stock from our Jackson factory warehouse. Install window (weather/permits/demand can shift exact day). ~1 week per zone typical. Final due on completion.
Follow-up & warranty
We check that it meets expectations. Warranty issues handled at no charge through your team leader / office.

Why one point of contact matters
Most competitors pass you from closer → designer → PM → foreman. Price and design can drift. Forevers Customer Service Manager is trained in this field and stays with you through install — fewer missed expectations, more accurate pricing.
Deposits & money flow
10% or $3,000 min starts 3D. After township/HOA approval, ~60%+ for materials/footers. Progress payments possible on larger jobs. Final on completion. Permit fees invoiced at cost.
Manufacturer advantage (vs typical StruXure dealers)
We cut and stock in Jackson — fewer middlemen. Many Michigan StruXure paths involve sub-dealers buying secondhand (e.g. via Altimate Outdoor in Ohio) with markup. Ask any dealer where the material actually comes from.
Install timing
You get a time window, not always a single fixed day permits, weather, material, and demand all factor in. Average about one week per zone.
