WHAT OTHERS GET WRONG AND WHY IT COSTS YOU MORE: Most other louvered pergola construction companies or landscape companies will have a separate sales person that you meet. This salesperson is trained to close the deal, not always trained in construction or even has design or building background! This salesman then sends it off to a designer, who then sends it off to a project manager to review and possibly finds things the untrained salesman missed- potentially increasing your costs! The project manager then sends it off to a Forman who is the one actually doing the work. SO, along all of those steps and you being passed off to one person and the next, your project design and price could completely change. THIS IS NOT THE WAY WE DO BUSINESS AT FOREVER PERGOLA !
WHAT WE DO AND WHY IT'S THE BEST WAY: Your Project manager is your Designer, and your Designer is your salesman. We call these specialty managers our Design/Installation Team Leader- your first and last point of contact throughout the ENTIRE PROJECT. They will be highly trained and experienced in this field. Meaning less of a chance for your expectations to be missed and more accurate project pricing and execution. This leads to a better overall experience for you knowing the person who is selling you the project and designing the project will be right alongside the guys as they put together your dream outdoor living space you wanted.
First Contact: When you first call or email the office, you will be assigned your Design/Installation Team Leader from Forever Pergola and schedule a meeting for your first design consultation. The owner / lead designer, Matthew Barron-Ratz may come as well, as he is a part of all of the projects from start to finish to ensure quality design and installation.
Inspection & Product Overview: At that first meeting, the Design/Installation Team Leader will evaluate your needs and project location. Perform a thorough site inspection and go over the details you are looking for as well as provide any information you wish to get answered about our product at this time.
Initial Layout: During this first Consultation, a quick 2D sketch of the layout will be drawn onsite to give you an idea of the overall space, louver direction, post placement, and accessory locations of the new louvered roof.
Pricing: A fair and reasonable price will be given to you right then and there. No inflated costs with phony discounts and high pressure "window salesman" tactics. This estimation will only takes a couple of minutes to generate, but this is a large investment, so we feel you should have the time to make the right decision. So no high pressure tactics for you to make a decision that day. You will then have the opportunity to get on the installation schedule with a small 10% deposit and begin the full 3D design process.
3D Design: After a 10% deposit, or minimum of $3000, a full scale 3D model of your home and landscaping will be drawn and the new louvered roof pergola will be designed in your space. This will give you confidence of what you are purchasing. From here we can change colors, shape, size, post locations, and accessories like screens, heaters, lights, and fans. Once the design is finalized and approved by the homeowner we will move onto Permits and Engineering.
Permits & Engineering: Please allow avg. 3-6 weeks for Engineering and Permits. Local Township permitting is essential for safe and reliable construction and is for the benefit of the homeowner. Here at Forever Pergola, we want our builds to last forever and to accomplish this we make sure each build is approved by your local certified building inspector and/or licensed engineer. Don't worry, Forever Pergola covers the legwork to get this project approved for you. Permit application fees from different townships vary in costs- ranging from $75 - $1750+. So in order to keep your cost down, we apply this fee to the final invoice with no additional markups.
Material Deposit: After designs are approved by the TWP, HOA, or any other local authority, we will request an additional 60% or more to cover material and footer costs. We then pull your material from our factory warehouse and set aside until we are ready to build. Unlike other local Aluminum motorized louvered pergola competitors Like StruXure, we are the manufacturer, cutting out several middle men to save you 1000's. Make sure to ask where your StruXure dealer gets their materials. Most Michigan dealers, including "Struxure Detroit" are a sub-dealer purchasing the material second hand from Altimate Outdoor in Ohio, and charges their sub-dealers a hefty markup. Remember, just because something is more expensive, doesn't mean it's better.
Installation Time: You will be notified of an installation time window where our crews will be coming to install your custom project. This time window is not an exact date. Unfortunately, there are several factors that play a part of when you actually get installed: permit approval wait times, weather, material delivery, and overall company demand. Depending on the size of the project, we may require progress payments. We usually average 1 week per zone. Final payment will be due upon completion of your project.
Follow-Up: We will follow up with all of our customers to ensure your forever pergola is meeting your expectations. If there is any problems, don't hesitate to contact your Team Leader or the office and we will take care of all warrantied issues at no charge to you. Forever Pergola has the best overall warranty in the industry.
